Meeting notes template

Notes that only capture discussion are hard to act on later. This template puts decisions and action items — each with an owner and a date — above the narrative, so the parts people need to find are the parts they see first.

## Decisions

1. Ship the dunning changes to annual plans in the next release.
2. Hold the pricing review until the Q1 numbers are final.
3. Move the on-call rotation from weekly to fortnightly from April.

## Action items

- [ ] **Jordan** — extend dunning retries to annual plans · due 14 March
- [ ] **Sam** — draft the fortnightly on-call schedule · due 10 March
- [ ] **Lena** — pull Q1 revenue by segment for the pricing review · due 7 March
- [x] **Priya** — book the quarterly planning room · done

## Discussion

### Dunning

Involuntary churn on monthly plans dropped from 4.1% to 3.2% after February's changes. Annual plans were excluded from that rollout because the retry window needed rethinking; Jordan will handle the longer window.

### On-call

The weekly rotation is producing a handover cost that outweighs the benefit at current team size. Fortnightly was preferred over monthly to avoid long stretches of context-holding.

## Next meeting

Frequently asked questions

What should meeting notes include?
The date, who attended, what was decided, and who owns what by when. Discussion detail is useful context but should sit below those, not above them.
Can I use checkboxes for action items?
Yes. Lines starting with '- [ ]' render as empty checkboxes and '- [x]' as ticked ones.
Can I circulate these as a web page instead?
Yes — Export offers a self-contained HTML file alongside the PDF, and it opens in a word processor too.

Converting this to a PDF

This template is plain markdown, so it converts the same way any document here does. turn notes into a PDF covers the page setup, typography and export options in more detail.
